This is My Testimony
“It’s testimony time,” she said to the audience. “Is there anyone willing to testify about what God has done for them?” No one hurried to join her on the pulpit. Had God done absolutely nothing for them? Had He completely ignored their very existence? Impossible!
God has blessed us in many ways, whether big or small. For everything that God has done for us, we ought to testify about it. I used to be a member of the guilty party. My week was pretty typical, nothing special happened, so I don’t have a testimony. Someone else will testify, I’m sure of it. I took life for granted. I no longer wait on others to stand up and testify.
The fact that I am alive, walking, with all of my limbs intact is a testimony.
The fact that I have both of my parents and siblings for family and moral support is a testimony.
The fact that we all share the same household is a testimony.
The fact that I have several ministries which are growing and blessing others is a testimony.
The fact that I celebrated another birthday, saw the start of another decade is a testimony.
The fact that I am employed with full benefits is a testimony.
The fact that I graduated from elementary, junior high, high school, college, and going back for my master’s degree is a testimony.
My entire life and everyone in it is my testimony. God has done too much for me for me to sit back with my arms crossed and mouth shut. Did you know that when you let testimony time pass you by, it’s as if you have denied Christ? Sharing a testimony is proving to others that God is alive and He is still in control. I challenge you to stand up for Christ and encourage one another with a testimony. What has helped you through your trials and tribulations can bring comfort to someone else. Keep that in mind the next time, someone asks for someone to testify.
