My oh my, how time flies. It’s been almost two weeks since my last post. I bet a few of you, my loyal readers and subscribers, have been wondering where I’ve disappeared off to. Well, let me reassure you it wasn’t sunny and tropical. I’ve been here the whole time, just haven’t really made time to blog about any and everything. Now’s a good time to do a recap of what has happened since we last met here.
Where shall I begin?
School is slowly becoming more and more intense. I can say the same for work. Politics is not easy at all. With the upcoming elections in June and the mayoral race in 2013, I don’t think New York City will ever be the same again. I think the campaigns are going to get really competitive and might even cross over into the dark side. I don’t care to get involved. Campaign is definitely not my strong suit.
Ministry is a constant challenge. I learn that lesson every single time I walk into my church or make necessary preparations throughout the week for the next service. You have got to stay on your toes and somehow manage it all with ease.
Is this truly winter? No complaints here, although I can’t shake the feeling that this is the calm before the storm. Maybe I’ve just watched too many movies. Either way, time will tell.
Let’s talk about the day to day occurrences that just plain lack common sense. Why do people stand directly in front of the middle doors of the bus despite the automated announcement that repeatedly asks him or her to move? The best part is we all turn to the person who seems to be unaware of his or her actions that have now stalled our commute. Wake up!
I’ve been browsing through a lot of articles lately, thanks to Twitter! Pretty crazy stuff happening across NYC and well the world. The presidential candidates has us all scratching our heads. Syria is …I don’t even know how to describe it. Now people can pick my seats on an airline with the use of Facebook? Teens robbed an old person of his iPhone then shoved him onto subway tracks. I just have no words sometimes after I read some of these headlines. I mean, these journalists are not making any of this stuff up. It’s actually for real. Sad though that the moral bar has been set so low. I know this isn’t even the half of it. We’re going to stoop to a new low.
If you’ve been following my tweets, then you’ll notice that a wide range of ideas flow through my mind every hour practically. It’s difficult to kind of sort through it all, but it is possible. I’ve been experiencing a lot of personal changes and witnessing how those around me have changed. Some for the better and some for the worst, naturally. Life is all about lessons I guess so I should grab a notebook, because it seems that I’ll never stop learning.
