For Yelp and YouTube, there’s a new face in town—me. In my quest to take over the world, I’m creating online profiles on some of the more popular social networks to build a following. Use every platform to share your message. Why, you might ask? Why else? Branding of course. No one will know your identity or what you stand for if you’re hiding behind the shadows. Those days are long gone. There is way too much going on for people to stop and try to get to know your brand. If you don’t spread the word about yourself, then you’ll be struggling to catch up with the next big thing before you know it.
I want my name to become synonymous with the word, “communications.” It’s what I love. It’s what I do. Since it is such a vast field, there’s always something going on. It can be a lot of fun, but there’s a lot of work involved. If you’re following your passions, the cons as some might call it, becomes irrelevant. I’m not into all talk and no action. In order to live your dreams, you have got to pursue them–full speed ahead. You can’t allow distractions and naysayers to take you off-course. Time is of the essence.
You never have to make a large splash, just a bunch of little ones until you catch the next big wave. So far I’m on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and WordPress in addition to Yelp and YouTube. Do I have all of the pieces of the puzzle yet? Definitely not, but I’m in the hunt to solve it. Who knows where I’ll end up next?
